Join us for a truly unique evening of Makgeolli and Anju pairing tasting (Korean artisanal rice wine and small plates), hosted by Korean rice wine sommelier, Jisung Chun, the distinguished first place winner of 2016 Korean rice wine sommelier competition sanctioned by the Korean government.

Embark on a journey of flavor as you indulge in a unique selection of 3 distinct varieties of rice wine crafted from locally sourced rice grown right here in New York State. From fragrant and floral notes to complex, earthy undertones, each rice wine offers a sensorial experience like no other.

We will make 3 Anjus, (small plates) that complement the drinks and offer sensory flavors and textures. The program starts with a presentation on Korean rice wine making history, terminology of rice wine varieties where you'll explore the nuances of rice wine, learning about the intricate processes behind their creation and discovering the rich cultural heritage woven into every sip.
