Calling all cookbook lovers! Here is your chance to explore popular, new cookbooks, and connect with other like-minded people. In this new event, we will gather and cook recipes from one cookbook, then enjoy and discuss the results. This event will differ from our typical classes in that each table will cook a different recipe, and we’ll have time for sampling everything and discussion about the dishes and the book.
For May, we will delve into Tenderheart from Hetty Lui McKinnon, which is a cookbook about vegetables and family bonds. This cookbook is a love letter and an anthology of vegetables, and offers much to discuss. Stay tuned for June Cookbook Club!
Anyone who registers for the class can purchase the book from The Book House in Stuyvesant Plaza for 20% off! Let’s support small businesses together.
Proceeds from Cookbook Love will be donated to a local food non-profit, to be decided by participants in class.
This class is appropriate for students 16 years and older.
