Chef Erica will introduce you to the complexity and simplicity of the classic French Macaron. Macarons are a gluten free, sweet meringue-based confection. Here you will learn the basics to creating a perfect macaron, along with a few special tips and tricks. Practice makes perfect when it comes to Macarons so join us again as we continue to teach you new and trendy ways to create a variety of macarons that are beautiful and delicious! Check us out each month as the Macaron variety changes with the seasons! This class is permitted for individuals 16 years or older.

About Erica: Chef Erica Weakley is a professional pastry chef who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. She has worked in food styling and recipe development along with diving into the world of chocolate. Pastry Arts has been a passion since she was young, and she has spent the last 8 years judging local competitions and teaching her craft at a local college. Now as a mother to two, she is teaching her culinary and pastry skills at CTE in Albany to high schoolers and young adults with special needs. Her love and talent for teaching is just as exceptional as her passion for pastry.
